Posts showcasing adopted animals with before and after photos are the primary content. Self-posts are allowed to include additional stories. Graphic images require NSFW tagging.

The rules, in their words

1. Be Civil: This is meant to be a positive subreddit. Please be kind to other users. Avoid using foul language or attacking other users. Excessive rudeness may result in a deleted comment, a warning, and even a temporary ban. Repeat offenders may be permanently banned.
2. Include a Before and After picture...: Before and after content: nearly all posts must contain a before-adoption photo and an after-adoption photo of a pet. If you're posting an update, please include the same before picture, or use a self post and link to the original. Self posts may also be used if you want to add a little more background story and commentary.
3. Tag graphic before/after pictures with "NSFW": Please tag graphic pictures by including the text "NSFW" in your post. Examples of graphic content for your before/after adoption pictures include gore, severe injury, severe illness, and blood.
4. No solicitation, ads, or requests for money: We appreciate that owning and caring for a little (or big!) creature can take its toll on your finances. The purpose of /r/BeforeNAfterAdoption is to promote adoption and share inspiring and heartwarming stories, however, and not to become a place to collect donations. Please don't share a pet's story and ask for money to help cover costs. We cannot moderate the legit claims and this would become altogether easy to abuse. There are subreddits and services you can try: /r/assistance and /r/care.
5. Don't claim someone else's adoption as your own: People put love, time, money, and affection into adopting pets. Don't claim their efforts as your own.
