Can you post your project here?

Advertising, commercial promotion, and posts intended for personal gain are not allowed. Your work should be shared for appreciation of the craft only. All posts require a timestamp in the title and proper flair.

Before you post: Rule 3 explicitly states 'No Advertising posts allowed' and 'Your work should be curated and shared for absolutely zero monetary or personal gain'. This means sharing a side project or product for promotion is banned.

The rules, in their words

  1. All posts must include a timestamp in the title.: You must place a time stamp in your post's title in this format: [4:20] Posts that are not time-stamped will be removed.
  2. All posts must be flaired properly.: Flair your posts after hitting submit. The bot takes down unflaired posts after a few minutes. You must also put the video length in timestamp format in the title of your post.
  3. No Advertising posts allowed: This subreddit is not a place for view or click farming. This subreddit not a place for hocking your wares in YouTube format. This is sub is not a place for blatant commercial promotion of your channel, social media, or other sales portals. All videos that are posted in this manner will be removed. Your work should be curated and shared for absolutely zero monetary or personal gain, this subreddit is for appreciation of the craft only.
  4. No 'How-To' or DIY posts allowed: Artisan quality means practiced skill, intense dedication, and a commitment to perpetual quality in a trade or craft. If you can pick it up without any experience, it's not really Artisan quality and it belongs in a DIY subreddit.
  5. No generic art posts allowed: If what you made is individual novelty, it's not trade work. The primary purpose of this rule is just to weed out "but it's art!" as some kind of catch-all excuse. Videos should showcase highly skilled artists producing work pieces as a professional craft. Hobbyist and amateur level posts will be removed.
  6. No karma farming or circlejerking: Keep the discourse civil, on-topic, and refrain from engaging in excessive circle jerking or karma farming. This is a subreddit for quality posts and quality commentary, lowest common denominator posts and commentary will be removed.
  7. All posts must have descriptive titles. Click-bait is not allowed.: Nobody is going to search for a video with the terms: "YOU WON'T BELIEVE HOW [WHATEVER]". Click-bait titles will be removed and members who post them will be summarily banned.
  8. All videos must be linked directly, and from the original source.: When you link to the video directly and use the direct URL in the search bar to find out if it's a repost. Submissions linking to videos embedded on blogs are not permitted. If a video is stolen, report it and send us a modmail linking to the original.
  9. Reposts are not allowed: If something has been posted within the past 3 months, don't post it again. We like it when we can see something different every day, and seeing something 4 times in a year isn't so bad.
