The rules, in their words

1. Be nice.: Polite discussion is encouraged. No flame wars please.
2. Do not criticize the lifestyle of other users unless you are requested to. Do not brigade.: Do not argue with other users about their lifestyles or choices in this sub, unless they have specifically requested advice. Do not brigade other subreddits that have been crossposted here.
3. No meta posts about the sub.: After several inane meta posts, I've decided to just slap them down before the malcontents pile in with more nonsense.
4. No spam, etc. etc. ad nauseam: You can post whatever you think might be relevant to this sub. But this sub doesn't look too favorably upon "green consumerism" or greenwashing. Removal of your posted content might occur if your post crosses the line between commentary and commercial promotion in some way.
5. Don't post pictures of other people's collections.: This type of post is repetitive and serves no purpose but to make fun of regular people, which is not the point of this subreddit at all. Worse, this type of post has inspired brigades. Anyone caught participating in a brigade of another sub will be banned. Pictures from news media, such as stories about celebrities' consumer habits, are fine.
6. Do not solicit brand or product recommendations or otherwise promote commercial brands.: Do not recommend or ask for recommendations for specific brands and products, or otherwise promote commercial brands.
