Can you post your project here?

Posts must be original Advice Animals created today. Do not post memes of yourself or people you know. Link directly to your image, and avoid shortened links or social media.

Before you post: Self-promotion or 'I built X' posts that do not strictly adhere to the 'Advice Animals' format are not allowed. Posts must be original content created today and cannot feature personal acquaintances.

The rules, in their words

1. Follow all Reddit sitewide rules.: This includes not asking for upvotes and not revealing personal information.
2. All posts must be Advice Animals: **Advice Animals consist of a two-line joke over a single-panel reusable character template.** There are many other meme subreddits which have less restrictive format rules where you can post non-AA memes. Of particular note: [Socially Awesome/Awkward Penguin](https://i.imgur.com/yRFVWr2.png) is not "Good Thing/Bad Thing Penguin". Likewise for [its inverted counterpart](https://i.imgur.com/Ayoao7Y.png). Please make sure there's a social awkwardness element if you're using that template.
3. Bigotry is not welcome on this subreddit: We're here to have a laugh. Hate speech, bigotry, and personal attacks are not allowed. Persistent or egregious violations will lead to a ban.
4. Don't tell people they should hurt or kill themselves, or that they should be dead: **Death threats and telling others to kill themselves will result in a ban from the subreddit.** Come on folks, this is a sitewide rule. Don't be an asshole.
5. Only submit original content you created today: **Don't post stuff you found from elsewhere on the web, it's probably been here already.** This subreddit is for original content only, meaning memes YOU made. Do not resubmit your post later for more karma. Reposting is a bannable offense. If you see a repost please report it as such, and [send a quick note to the mods](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2FAdviceAnimals) if you can.
6. Don't post to tell us about your cake day, and don't pander for upvotes or awards: Mentioning your Cake Day in your meme or post title is not allowed. Please, just don't. Asking other users to upvote or award your post or comment, directly or indirectly, is not allowed. This includes roundabout ways of reminding people to upvote, such as references to "dying in new" or "getting to hot". We have seen every possible variation of this, and will remove your upvote-begging post no matter how clever and creative you think you're being.
7. Don't post Unpopular Opinion Puffins or Vertical memes: Don't post Unpopular Opinion Puffin memes, or other memes (like Confession Bear) with a Puffin-style message shoehorned in. [This is the Unpopular Opinion Puffin.](http://i.imgur.com/qs4z4Rm.jpg) These are [Verticals](/r/vertical) Two advice animals in a vertical is okay.
8. Don't post memes picturing someone you know in real life (including yourself): Don't make memes with pics of people that you saw in real life. Ever. Don't try to make yourself or someone you know into a meme.
9. Link directly to your image: Shortened links, Facebook, Tumblr, Blogspot, etc will be automatically removed.
10. Don't post COVID or anti-vax misinformation: **Downplaying or outright denying the severity of COVID-19, or arguing that vaccinations are not a safe and effective way to protect people and populations against disease, will result in a ban.** Healthy skepticism and debate are allowed (and encouraged!), but anti-science nonsense has no place on this subreddit or anywhere else on this site. Denial of the plethora of evidence that vaccination is safe and effective is not a reasonable or rational position to take.
11. We reserve the right to remove posts, remove comments, and ban users at our own discretion.
