Self-promotion posts and posts about things you made or own are explicitly forbidden. The subreddit focuses on showcasing quality craftsmanship applied to designs that are in objectively awful taste.

Before you post: Rule 7 states 'Do not post something you made or own.'

The rules, in their words

1. Rule 1: Must be great execution: All posts must be of something exhibiting awful taste but great execution. If it does not display great execution it does not belong here. Great execution is defined as a work of quality craftsmanship. Content that will always be removed: * Music Videos * Car Wraps
2. Rule 2: NSFW: All NSFW posts must be tagged as such. Any nudity or anything exceptionally graphic posts must be tagged.
3. Rule 3: No Reposts: Reposting is not allowed. When reporting a repost please use the other field and include a link to the original post.
4. Rule 4: Reddiquette: Rule 4: Follow Reddiquette Please treat other redditors with respect and class. The moderators thank you in advance. Violations of reddiquette may be met with a ban.
5. Rule 5: No Text or Social Media: Screen shots are not allowed. This sub is about the quality craftsmanship and terrible taste, not captions or social media comments. Posts should be self-explanatory and not rely on text/contextual clues for it to be /r/ATBGE material.
6. Rule 6: No Computer Generated Images: Computer generated renderings or digitally altered photos are not allowed. Post need to revolve around something tangible, not just something that exists digitally.
7. Rule 7: Must be Awful Taste: Posts that are cute, funny, unique, or otherwise tasteful will be removed. Taste is highly subjective, so use your best judgement. Just because it is a tattoo does not mean it is awful taste. Do not post something you made or own.
8. Rule 8: Direct Linking to OC Art: We are mitigating the amount of posts that link directly to other works of art by a creator or owner. All direct links to these posts will be removed. We are trying to limit the amount of negative comment traffic and downvotes directed towards other subreddits (taste is a subjective thing, after all). Violations can result in a ban. Cross posts of non-author/owner work are still allowed.
9. Rule 9: Tattoo Tuesday: Tattoo posts are only allowed on Tuesday (EST time), posts on any other day of the week will be removed.
