Can you post your project here?

This subreddit is exclusively for AMAs, where posters must share meaningful experiences, unique perspectives, or interesting stories and actively answer questions. Non-AMA posts or posts with trivial topics, opinions, or fake stories are not allowed.

Before you post: Posts must be AMAs and offer meaningful experiences or unique perspectives; casual self-promotion or 'I built X' posts are not suitable if they are not framed as an AMA with unique experiences to share.

The rules, in their words

  1. Harassment/Hate/Bigotry not allowed: Any rude/harassing behavior or hate will be removed. Bigotry in any form such as racism, transphobia, homophobia, and any other hatred of peoples will not be tolerated. Further action may be taken if needed. This is a zero tolerance policy.
  2. Posts must be AMAs: This subreddit is exclusively for AMAs (Ask Me Anything). Avoid posting personal questions, advice requests, unrelated content, or comments that are not questions or relevant remarks. For other discussions, use a more suitable subreddit.
  3. AMA commenters must ask questions: The point of the subreddit is for users to ask and answer questions. Don't comment if you don't have a genuine question to ask or relevant remark.
  4. AMA posters must answer questions in their threads: The original poster must answer questions within a reasonable time frame. Not all questions have to be answered but we want to see that OP is active in their thread. We generally give 3 hours, but if you say at the end of your post that you will answer at a later time then it won't be removed.
  5. Post Quality: Posts must share meaningful experiences, unique perspectives, or interesting stories-such as your job, achievements, or hobbies. Low-effort posts, like those with no context (e.g., "I’m bored"), trivial topics (e.g., "I’m drunk"), or troll/joke content, will be removed. The following common topics are not allowed: diseases, suicide, relationships, mental health issues, venting, confessions, place of living, and LGBTQ. Additionally posts should not be places to share your opinions.
  6. NSFW content is prohibited unless prior approval is obtained: Posts containing NSFW content are strictly prohibited. This includes any sexual posts, discussions or references to sexual assault, abuse, or similar topics, and any content containing explicit or inappropriate material. This rule ensures the subreddit remains a safe and appropriate space for all users. Users can send a modmail asking if their NSFW post is permissible, and in some circumstances it will be allowed if it is educational in nature.
  7. Long and Controversial Opinions: r/AMA is not the place to post your own personal opinions, especially regarding sensitive or political topics. This includes posting "I'm in X religion", which tends to cause controversy. If a user types a longwinded opinion of theirs and follows it with "AMA", that AMA may be removed by the moderators at their discretion. If a commenter types a longwinded opinion of theirs and follows it with a question mark, that comment may be removed by the moderators at their discretion.
  8. No fake stories: Do not make posts contradicting previous posts (ex: be 20 years old in one post and 30 years old in a previous post) or make posts that are obviously untrue (ex: I am a World War 1 veteran, AMA!) You may be asked by the mods through modmail for verification if a claim seems unbelievable.
