Post with careYou can post, but there are rules to clear first.

Can you post your project here?

Self-promotion is allowed but must constitute less than 10% of your overall content. You must also actively engage with the community by helping others and discussing their posts. Posts showcasing work unrelated to purchase advice or memes/specific daily themes are generally permitted.

Before you post: Self-content must be less than 10% of total contributions. Active community engagement and participation are required. Posts should not be purchase advice, memes (unless Monday), or first-layer/spaghetti posts (unless Friday/Saturday respectively).

The rules, in their words

  1. Posts must be 3D-printing-related: All posts must be about a 3D printer or something that is 3D printed or the 3D Printing industry. This is an overview. Read the full rules here: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/communityrules/
  2. Requests for purchase advice must go in the stickied megathread: - Don't make new threads when asking what printer to buy, they will be removed. - Instead use the Monthly Purchase Advice Thread that is stickied to the [top of the subreddit](https://old.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/hot/) This is an overview. Read the full rules here: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/communityrules/
  3. Less than 10% self-promotion: We help enforce Reddit's sitewide self promotion rules https://www.reddit.com/wiki/selfpromotion. Reddit is for people, not businesses. If you wish to showcase your work here you must engage with the community as a member of it, by helping others and discussing other people's posts. You must keep self-content to less than 10% of your overall content and be prepared to engage with the community. This is an overview. Full rules: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/communityrules/
  4. No Dangerous or Malicious Devices or Instructions: No Dangerous or Malicious Devices or Instructions: No posting, sharing, or linking to files or designs for dangerous devices (e.g., firearms, explosives). Non-functional cosplay or toy weapons are allowed if not resembling real firearms. Do not provide instructions to create dangerous devices. Ethical discussions are allowed, but no specific instructions. This is an overview. Full rules: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/communityrules/
  5. Community Behavior: People have off days. Jerks will be ignored and down-voted. But if someone is continually being disruptive to the community in multiple threads (aka trolling), they will be banned at the mods' discretion. This includes bypassing blocked links or services via for example link shorteners, which is against Reddits Terms of Service to begin with. This is an overview. Read the full rules here: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/communityrules/
  6. Monday is Meme Day. You can only post Memes on Monday: We only allow memes to be posted here on mondays, as we end up with too many and they drown out all other discussions. This is an overview. Read the full rules here: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/communityrules/
  7. First layer Fridays, Spaghetti Saturdays: First-layer posts may only be posted on Fridays, and Spaghetti Posts will only be allowed on Saturdays. On those days, those posts are completely fine however and are actually encouraged. Exceptions will be made for posts that specifically ask how to avoid a problem related to these on other days, as long as it's clear in the title. This is an overview. Read the full rules here: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/communityrules/
  8. No Karma/Repost Bots: This one is pretty obvious but we have to add it as a rule to get the applicable report reason for users so they can report Karma Bots reposting other people's content better and we can discern these posts faster.
  9. No Linking to Restricted Websites: Do not post links to restricted websites or attempt to circumvent this restriction with partial URL strings, the use of subtle hints, etc., to reference models from these sites. For transparency, a [list of restricted sites](https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/communityrules/restrictedwebsites/) is available, explaining why these sites are restricted.
